Pastors Doug & Janet Roberts
Lead Pastors

Pastors Doug & Janet Roberts began serving in ministry leadership over twenty-five years ago. Doug completed his ordination with the Assemblies of God in 2003 and Janet in 2013. On January 1, 2000, they became the Associate and Worship Pastors at ct|church under the pastorate of the church's founder, Rev. James H. Brothers. Upon Pastor Brothers' retirement in April 2003, Pastor Doug became Lead Pastor and Janet serves as the Administrative Pastor and Office Administrator.

They have been married for almost 50 years and have two children. Their son-in-law and daughter, Matt and Stacey Leighty, serve on staff as the Executive Pastor and Financial Administrator, respectively, Their son and his wife, Brent and Tori Roberts, lead the worship ministry at ct|church and who have two of their grandchildren, Carson and Cameron. They also have an adopted granddaughter, Abigail Ricarte.

Pastor Matt & Stacey Leighty came to ct|church in 2001 as the Children’s and Youth pastors after serving at two churches in Illinois. In 2009, they accepted the position as Executive Pastors and served in that capacity until 2011, when they followed God’s call to the mission field.

Matt & Stacey served as appointed Assemblies of God World Missionaries in Stuttgart, Germany from 2012 - 2023. During their tenure as missionaries, they planted Stuttgart Missional Community Church (SMCC) which celebrated its 10th anniversary in November of 2022. They served as Senior Pastors of SMCC for over 10 years.

In May of 2023, Matt & Stacey returned to ct|church. Pastor Matt serves as the Executive Pastor and Stacey as the Financial Administrator. They have been married for over 25 years.

Pastor Richard Ybarra
Senior Adults Pastor

Pastor Richard Ybarra, and his wife Priscilla, came to ct|church in 2006. Prior to coming to ct|church, they served as Youth Pastors, in deacon positions, prison ministries, and as Associate Pastors. Since coming here, Pastor Richard has served on the board, on the worship team, directed our men’s ministry, and served as pastor to our Spanish congregation.

Together, Pastor Richard & Priscilla have also taught Sunday U Discipleship classes and were part of the Greeter/Usher Ministry. Today, Pastor Richard and Priscilla lead our Senior Adult Ministry, (S.A.L.T.).

Richard and Priscilla have been married for over 50 years and have raised two beautiful children who are married and are serving God. They enjoy spending quality time with their amazing grandchildren.

Pastors Chris Brothers and his wife Courtney joined our team on July 17, 2016. Chris received his ordination in May of 2016. He served on ministry staff with his father, Paul Brothers in Nixon, TX for 1 1/2 years.

When the door opened up at ct|church, Chris and Courtney readily accepted the position of Youth Pastors. The added extra blessing is that Chris is the eldest grandson of Rev. James and Dorothy Brothers, the founding pastors of ct|church.

Chris and Courtney married in September 2015 and focus on serving in ministry together. They are raising two beautiful children, Everleigh & Easton.

Pastor Marilyn Barreto, along her with her family, began attending ct|church in 2003. She has faithfully served in many different ministries throughout the years. In 2017, after working as a teacher for 2 years, she became the Director of ct|Day School.

In 2019, Marilyn was excited to step into the role of Children’s Pastor at ct|church and ministers to our youngest members from birth to 4th grade.

Marilyn has been married to her husband, Will, for over 25 years. They have two sons, Fredy & Josh. Will & Marilyn love spending their free time with their grandchildren.

Brent Roberts has served as the Worship Leader at ct|church since 2010. He is the son of Pastors Doug and Janet. He returned to San Antonio in 2000 to accept an I.T. position at Jefferson Bank. He demonstrates his love for Christ through the musical talent God has given him.

He married his beautiful bride Tori in November of 2009 and has two amazing children, Carson and Cameron.
